Dental crown is a cap that can be put over a tooth. They are used to bring tooth back to normal shape, function and size. Crowns might be used when the cavities are too large to fill, or teeth are cracked or even after root canal is done. A dental bridge is made with 2 or more dental crowns on either side of gap made by the missing tooth, with a replica tooth in between. The replica teeth are called as pontics. The application of the dental bridge is to bridge the gap created by missing teeth.
